The Philippine Government passed the rule that the TM Sim Registration Act and made a new rule that everyone can register a TM Sim. You can buy a TM SIM through the GlobeOne App, portal, and in-store, and register the TM SIM card.
The process of TM Sim Registration is based on few easy steps. You need to fill in some details and upload documents.
Note: TM SIM registration is essential for both new and old SIMs. However, the last date to register your old TM SIM was December 27, 2022. Now, you cannot register your old SIM cards.
TM SIM Registration Methods
Here are three different methods available to register the TM SIM Card. You can choose and method that you think is easy. Below is a detail.

Register SIM Card TM Via the GlobeOne App
The registration method of this application is almost the same as the portal website. I can explain step-by-step below.
First of all, download the GlobeOne application on Android or IOS.
After downloading the app then start creating an account.
In the corner of the right side of the home page, you will see the registration button. Click on this button to start registration.
Enter the SIM number carefully and ensure its accuracy. Click on the verification button to get OTP.
You will receive OTP on the given number and enter then click on the OTP button.
After verifying your number then you can receive a registration form. Fill the form with the given required details and complete it.
Upload your selfie for face verification.
Once the form or image uploading process is complete, review the information completely. Make sure that the details you enter are correct and your provided document is official.
Click on the submit button. After submitting the form, you will get a reference number. Save this reference number for further use.
Register TM SIM Card in Stores
If you are not familiar with online TM SIM cards, then offline registration is also available. You can easily register TM SIM at the Globe store. Here is the same easy step for registering TM SIM offline.
First of all, you can find the Globe store in your nearest place.
Ask the active person to register the TM SIM card.

Here are some steps to check the registration status online:
Type the message “SMREG” on your mobile phone.
Send the message to 8080.
After sending the message, wait for a response.
You will get a confirmation message from the company whether the SIM is registered or not.

Make sure that the uploaded photo is clear or of high quality. It must be 4MB or less.

Tip for Successful Registration
The TM SIM registration process does not contain complicated things. However, there are small things that we need to keep in mind. Here are some tips that I can follow to register my TM and Globe SIMs without any issue.
Also, use valid and correct details according to your documents. Do not use invalid details such as CNIC and name or other information to avoid errors.
Always upload a clear image and valid documents. Upload a fresh selfie. Keep in mind that you can always use a 2 MB image.
Make sure your SIM card is in your mobile. If the SIM card is not in your mobile properly insert, you will not receive OTP. If you are wifi user, click on the “Click Here” link next to get the OTP for the OTP box.
Always use the official site and the original TM SIM registration app.

How to Check Registration Status?
Once you have submitted your registration form, you can check SIM’s active status. You can check four different ways whether your SIM is registered.
Check via the Portal
First, go to the official site.
Enter your Mobile Number.
You will receive an OTP that shows you whether your SIM is registered or not.
Check via App
Open the GlobeOne app.
Log in to your account with your username or password.
You can see registration status on the home screen of the app.
Check via TM Registration Number
Open your message app, type “SMERG” and send it to the TM Registration number (8080).
Wait a few seconds for the response.
A confirmation message will be sent to you: “Your SIM is registered”. If you do not receive a message, it means that your SIM is still not registered.
Check in Stores
Visit your nearest Globe store and ask them to check your registration status.
They will ask you to provide a few details. Provide them with the details.
You will get your status in a few seconds.
How to Switch To TM? (SIM Card portability)
The TM offers to switch to TM Tambayan from any other network through Mobile Network portability. Here is how you switch to TM from another network:
First of all, ensure that the current number is active, has no unpaid bills, and has been active for at least 90 days.
Send a text USC to 5050 from your current mobile number. In reply, you will receive a 9-digit code.
Visit the TM portal or store and request a new TM SIM for posting.
Provide your current number and the USC.
A new TM SIM will be delivered to you within 2-3 days.
Insert the TM SIM into your phone. On the SIM menu, select Port In, then Online Request.
Enter your old mobile number and the 6-digit porting code you received from TM.
It will take a few hours to activate your SIM. Once the SIM is activated, you can use the TM network with your old number.
